Yale Constitutional Scholar Akhil Amar will discuss his new book. It explores how the idea that all Americans are created equal brought forth the Constitutional amendments that abolished slavery, secured Black and female citizenship, and extended suffrage regardless of race or gender. Dr Amar is the foremost living scholar on Constitutional history and Walnut Creek’s own son.
St. Mary’s College and Community Conversations are pleased to host this event.
