Clayton Valley Village is a grassroots organization that launched services on May 1, 2017. It is one of about 400 villages across the United States and is part of the national Village Movement. Villages began about 20 years ago with the Beacon Hill Village in Boston. This movement is now on fire with baby boomers and seniors coming together to create a new kind of future for ourselves.
The concept of villages offers an opportunity for seniors to stay in their own homes for as long as possible and offers communities a network of services to support their aging population. Sometimes it takes just a little support, an occasional change of our light bulbs or ability to join close-to-home social, exercise or educational programs, to be able to stay in our homes as we get older. For others, daily check-ins are important to feel safe and for others occasional support with a pet, organization of our paperwork, or computer/cell phone coaching would make life easier.

CVV 2024 Board
Clayton Valley Village, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created for the benefit of its members, seniors in Clayton and parts of Concord, who wish to remain independent, involved and interested, with the assistance of a group of volunteers who happily provide a variety of services. Those services include transportation (to doctor’s appointments, hair appointments, grocery shopping, for example), tech support (TV remote controls, cell phones, computers), home handyman help (changing ceiling light bulbs or smoke alarm batteries, clogged toilets), light gardening assistance (repotting plants) and some pet care. If for any reason CVV’s volunteers are unable to provide the assistance requested, CVV offers a list of referred providers who can be contacted directly by the member and paid directly by the member (with some discounts offered).
As of this date, the annual dues for membership in CVV are $480.00 for an individual and $660.00 for a couple. The dues may be paid by check or by credit card in full annually, or the dues may be paid monthly by credit card only.
